Digital storytelling project - add narration to a story
This is part of Challenge #3: Become a STORY NARRATOR WHIZZ. We turned our stories into videos with narration today using a Chrome extension called Screencastify. First we installed the Chrome extension, Screencastify, and then we practised narrating our stories. The extension saves them in our Google Drive. Here is mine:
My digital story-
This story is part of Challenge #2: Become a STORY WHIZZ KID. We used stories from the African Storybook website (https://www.africanstorybook.org/) that are free to reuse and change completely, and we recreated them. We kept the art. We did these in Google Slides. Here is mine:

Story: Lost in the Wild
This is my Storybird story called 'Lost in the Wild'. Unfortunately it can't be embedded as an e-book in my blog. I am adding my cover page and my words as evidence that I finished the story.
Lost in the Wild
Once upon a time there was a girl named Kindle. She was lost in the bushes. She saw something creeping out the bush and it had red and bright brown eyes sticking out. Suddenly Kindle was brave enough to go see what it was behind the bush and guess what it was? It was a BIG, HUGE, ENORMOUS FAT BEAR.
Luckily Kindle had a torch and looked at the bear fearlessly. She was not afrain afraid. The bear asked, “What is your name?” “My my my my my name is Kindle and what is your name?” asked Kindle. “My name is Hudson. What are you doing here in the wild?” “I am lost. Can you please help me get home? I don’t want to be alone in the wild.” Hudson, the bear, said to Kindle, “Sure.”
Kindle saw a mad owl looking at here face to face and she was scared. The owl came down so fast and it bit Kindles hat off. Hudson ran as fast as he could. And then the Hudson tripped over a stick and he fell hard and the owl flew away.
Then Kindle saw a constellation in the sky and she said it looked beautiful. Hudson said it indeed looked beautiful and then they carried on walking. Kindle saw a house and said, “Hudson there is a house over there. Let’s go and see who lives there.” So they went to go see what was there and guess what it was?
Kindle found a key on the floor and opened the door and guess what it was?
It was a Dinosaur’s house. Kindle screamed so badly she lost her voice. Then the Dinosaur ran after Kindle. She ran through the woods and then she saw Hudson and jumped on his back. The Dinosaur was getting tired. Suddenly it went splat on the floor and Hudson and Kindle were safe. Then they went in the house and lived happily ever after. And Kindle was happy again. The End

Endangered Animals
We worked in groups of three and did a collaborative mini-project on Endangered Animals. Each person in the group was assigned a different animal to research. We had to put the information into our own words and we also had to add a video ico and link a video to the icon.
Here is my group's work.

Blogging Challenge my Zoom out story
On the 10th April we played the Zoomout Game. This is a follow up post. The Zoomout Game is when you add an image to your blog, and start a story in the comment section. Other classmates add to your story in the comment section. Finally we had to create a story from what people said in the comments.
These are the comments people made in my blog
1. The little rabbit stayed completely still because it was hiding from from the cat. These are the comments people made in my blog
2. Then the cat saw him and pounced but the rabbit was too fast and he ran away to the safety of his nearby burrow.
3.He was so scared that he got out his paintball gun.
4. When he started shooting it was so powrful the little rabbit started to bounce every where.
5.He hit the cat a couple of times and the cat went away.
6. Little rabbit was relieved. he was very scared of the cats
Here is my story made from the comments
The Rabbit And The Cats
One sunny day a rabbit came and saw a cat in the yard. The little rabbit stayed still and it pretended that it was dead. Then
more cats came and looked at the little rabbit. The rabbit peered open one eye and saw the cats. The cats walked around the rabbit and the cats thought that the rabbit was dead. They came closer and closer to the rabbit .The cat surrounded the rabbit.
The rabbit hid a paintball gun underneath its fat belly. he was so scared that one of the cats jumped, and the rabbit took out the paintball gun and shot the cat that was in the air. The rabbit ran away from the cats but there were to many cats surrounding the rabbit. It jumped over on of the cats and the rabbit hid himself underneath the car. The rabbit thought that he was trapped and he didn't know what to do.
The cats waited for the Rabbit to come out. The rabbit had faith inside him and he came out and jumped up in the air and shot all the cats around him with the paintball gun. The cats were still moving and all the cats asked for forgiveness to the rabbit. The rabbit was revealed that he was no more scared of silly little furry cats.

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1AWEcGu1IfVTReSjrinmYPcU_C91Zyrqa-SRBsDjHjP4/edit#slide=id.p
We each chose a different problem and researched it. We added information in two headings:
a) What is the problem
b) What can be done about it.
Our collaborative slideshow follows.
